New Delhi: Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth gave their fans a pleasant surprise on Monday when they announced their wedding with some pictures just like a fairy tale. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony at a 400-year-old temple in Wanaparthy. Ahead of the wedding, Siddharth and Aditi gave a fun interview to Vogue for which they did a special wedding photoshoot. The video begins with Aditi asking, “If left alone, Sid…” to which Siddharth promptly replies, “Wilt and die.” When asked what Aditi Rao Hydari does first thing in the morning, Siddharth said, “She wakes me up without my consent and against my will.” Siddharth added, “I wake up reluctantly and with tears thinking my day has begun. Now, the one person in the world who enjoys this moment, almost like taking candy from a child, is this person (Aditi).” Check out the video here: Aditi and Siddharth kept their wedding attire simple and elegant. Aditi wore a golden saree in the traditional South Indian way. She wore flowers in her hair. Siddharth accompanied her in a white dhoti-kurta set. 1. The first meeting
Well, it all started during the shooting of Maha Samudram. Aditi Rao Hydari revealed that Siddharth walked in and said, “Hello, pretty girl.” In an interview with Vogue, the actress said, “Usually, when someone says something like that, it doesn’t work. But he was genuine. By the end of the day, he made me and almost everyone on the set laugh. He also made sure that I and my team ate ghee-laden idlis made by his cook every day for the rest of the shooting.”
2. Relationship Rumours
Aditi Rao Hydari and Sidharth’s relationship rumours started doing the rounds in 2022 when Aditi posted a birthday wish for Sidharth. The couple remained mum about their romantic involvement until their engagement in March this year, neither confirming nor denying the speculations.
3. Engagement
The lovebirds announced their engagement by sharing an Instagram post. They posted a selfie, in which the two can be seen flaunting their engagement rings. In her caption, Aditi wrote, “She said yes! E. N. G. A. G. E. D.”. On the other hand, Sidharth’s caption read, “She said yes! E. N. G. A. G. E. D.”.
4. Proposal
Last month, Aditi Rao Hydari revealed how Sidharth proposed to her in school, which was started by his grandmother. “I was closest to my maternal grandmother, who passed away a few years ago. She had started a school in Hyderabad. One day, Siddharth asked me if he could see it, because he knew very well how close I was to her,” Aditi told Vogue.
“He got down on his knees and I asked him, ‘What have you lost now? Whose shoelaces are untied?’ He kept saying, ‘Addu, listen to me’. And then he proposed. He said he wanted to take me to my favourite childhood place, blessed by my grandmother,” the actress added.
5. Wedding location
During the same discussion, Aditi Rao Hydari was asked about her wedding plans. She revealed only one detail and that was about the location. “The wedding will be centred around a 400-year-old temple in Wanaparthy, which is very important to my family,” Aditi said.
