Police left Shubham’s house, where he wrote the Facebook post, empty-handed in the Baba Siddiqui murder investigation; the door was locked.

Shubham Lonkar, the accused who took responsibility for the murder of Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai on Saturday by writing a Facebook post, is missing. When the police team reached his house in Akola on Saturday night, the door was locked and no one was present there. Shubham was caught with a weapon in the month of February itself. It is being claimed that he was associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The controversy over taking responsibility for the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai by writing a Facebook post is increasing. When the police reached the house of Shubham Lonkar, a resident of Akot taluka of Akola district, in his ancestral village Niwari Bridruk, it was found locked and no one was present there.
The person who wrote the Facebook post is missing
The name of the person who took responsibility for this high profile murder by writing a Facebook post is being told as Shubham Lonkar. However, on Facebook, he is writing his name as Shubbu Lonkar. The police has started investigation from this angle as well. Earlier in February 2024, Shubham was accused of possessing illegal weapons. Akola police recovered three pistols and 11 live cartridges from him. It is also being claimed that Shubham is associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang. However, Akola police is investigating the matter, but till now no clear information has come out in this matter. In this case, Akot Division ACP Amol Mittal said that our action has been taken after his Facebook post came to light. He said that we went to his village at night and searched the house, but there is still suspense on whether he has made the Facebook post or someone else. Despite this, we are investigating the accused of this incident. After the murder, the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for it in a viral post. In this post, the gang has claimed that they did not want any war with Salman Khan, but the reason for Baba’s murder was his association with Dawood Ibrahim.
