RPF officer Parveen Singh said, “Yesterday, the Vande Bharat train, which is scheduled to run from 16th, had a trial run. She left Mahasamund at 7.10 am. Around 9 pm, some anti-social elements pelted stones at a moving vehicle near Bagbahara. Our supporting party on the train was armed. he informed. A police team rushed to the spot after getting information and arrested the five accused. The five accused have been identified as Shiv Kumar Baghel, Devendra Kumar, Jitu Pandey, Sonwani and Arjun Yadav. All five are from Bihar. These are unnatural elements.’
“During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused, identified as Shiv Kumar Baghel, is the brother of a corporator. The case has been registered under Section 153A of the Railways Act.The glass panes of three coaches were broken in stone-pelting.’

This is not the first time that stones have been pelted at the Vande Bharat train. Even before this, stones have been thrown at Vande Bharat in many cities. A few days ago, an unidentified person threw stones at the Vande Bharat Express (22346) going from Lucknow to Patna.The incident took place on Wednesday night around Varanasi. At around 8.15 pm, the accused damaged the window panes of the C5 of the train by pelting stones. Recently, in July, anarchists threw stones at the Vande Bharat Express (22549) train going from Gorakhpur to Lucknow.
Many windows have been broken. Window panes of coach number C1, C3 and executive coach were broken due to stone pelting. The sudden stone-pelting on the train caused panic among the passengers and created panic inside the coach. However, no passenger was injured. Earlier, similar incidents have been reported from Gujarat, West Bengal, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. Several accused have been arrested in the case.
